Enigmail is an add-on to the email clients Postbox, SeaMonkey and Epyrus, allowing users to access the authentication and encryption features provided by GnuPG. Thus Enigmail enables Postbox and Interlink to send and receive digitally signed and/or encrypted messages using the OpenPGP standard.

In order to provide the crypto-features, Enigmail can use its own built-in library, or GnuPG. For GnuPG, the minimum version required is 2.0.14, but we recommend the latest versions of GnuPG as they contain the latest security fixes. If your operating system does not supply GnuPG by itself, you may download GnuPG for Windows or other systems.
