As I announced earlier on this list, I have started to move away from
C++ code to a pure JavaScript environment (with some system library
calls from JavaScript). As a consequence of this, a lot of the core
code needs to be adjusted. In order to reduce the risk of severe
errors in the release versions, I will regularly ask for help in
testing after I completed such changes.

I have today committed a first significant part. The following parts
of Enigmail are affected:

* Detection of GnuPG and gpg-agent. That's the very first thing that
Enigmail does when it is used for the 1st time after Thunderbird was
started.
* Any calls to GnuPG, except for encryption and decryption of mails
and key operations. This includes operations like opening the OpenPGP
Key Manager, encryption and decryption of attachments for inline-PGP
mode.

I'd be happy to get feedback if things that are working in v1.3.5 are
broken on Enigmail trunk. The new code will be active in nightly
builds of Enigmail dated 2012-01-28 and later on all trees i.e.
Stable, Beta, Aurora and comm-central.

Nightly Builds are available from http://tinyurl.com/EnigmailNightly
