- Open the Enigmail Preferences panel: OpenPGP > Preferences
- Make sure the option Show expert settings is activated
- Then click on the Debugging tab to access the debugging preferences.
- In the text box labelled Log Directory, type in any valid directory path, e.g., /data/tmp (Unix) or c:\windows\temp (Windows).
- Close the preferences window, and restart Thunderbird
A file named enigdbug.txt will be created in this directory containing the trace log.
